Duration of allowance
The allowance is paid for a maximum of 500 days of unemployment. There can be a total of five days of work, waiting period or compensation within each calendar week. The total payment period also includes days for which training allowance has been paid, and days of unemployment allowance within the so-called treaty states.
A so-called safety rule will then apply, which means that the newly assessed allowance will be at least 80% of the previously paid earnings-related allowance. The earnings-related allowance is never less than the basic unemployment allowance.
