How can I find an apartment in Helsinki? What should I do, if there is no work? Which services am I entitled to? The Finnish society can surprise even a resident of many years. Finding help when facing challenges can be hard and the language barrier can cause problems, too. There is help but how to find it? During the course we will learn more about the Finnish society and welfare system. We’ll discuss what to do and where to go if there are problems with for example work, housing and the financial situation. The course will be held in Finnish and English. Participants can also receive personal counselling.
The course is free of charge.
The course is held by: Marika Salovaara, Bachelor of Social Services and Leena Ruskomaa, Master of Social Sciences
The course is organised by Kalliola Adult Learning Center (www.kalliolankansalaisopisto.fi) and counselling centre Ne‐Rå (www.ne‐ra.fi).
