The Finnish authorities have deprived a Russian national and her husband of the right to see their seven-year old son who has told his classmates of his wish to leave for Russia. The boy has since been placed in an orphanage by decision of the bodies of trusteeship and guardianship. Social workers reached the conclusion that the boy’s mother, Inga Rantala, is a threat to the boy. Meanwhile Inga says their son was first taken to the orphanage on December 21st for a period of 30 days. He then stayed at home for a fortnight, but on the 4th of this month was again forced to leave for the orphanage, but this time for a whole 60 days. The boy attends one of the best schools in their city, offering an in-depth course of English, and he also goes in for ice-hockey. According to Rantala, her husband is on the verge of a nervous break-down and has threatened with giving up his Finnish citizenship, selling their house and leaving for Russia.
