The Finnish Government has proposed that those who have been laid off would be entitled to an unemployment benefit without being prevented by studies or entrepreneurship, among other things. The law is intended to enter into force on 1 April 2020 and remain in force until 31 July 2020. The law would apply to those who have been laid off starting from 16 March 2020 or later.
This is still just a proposal, and it has not been enacted as law yet. YTK is monitoring the situation. |
