Aurora Borealis, or the Northern Lights, will be visible across Finland over the weekend, including in southern regions, according to the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI).

FMI predicts a medium probability of auroras in central and southern Finland, while in Lapland, there will be a high probability.

Meteorologist Eveliina Tuovinen said that clear skies throughout the weekend offer favourable conditions for viewing, although the northern regions will experience some cloud cover.

She noted that the best time to spot the Northern Lights will be around and after midnight on Saturday.
